HISTORY

born the only child of his father, a cfo of a korean-american business firm, and his mother, a broadcasting executive, johnny had an easy childhood growing up in the wealthy suburbs of chicago. school was a breeze. johnny was well liked, and never had any problems passing classes. all in all? no complaints.

rather than immediately enrolling in college after graduation, johnny opted to take the year off to travel with a group of friends and his high school girlfriend. his dad had always wanted him to attend his alma mater, and near the end of johnny's gap year he made an ultimatum - go to korea, or get cut off. at first he pushed back, but after The Incident (his longtime girlfriend cheating on him with his childhood best friend - something only his close friends know about) johnny gave in and moved halfway around the world.

agr was a no brainer. as a legacy rush he was pretty much guaranteed in, and the hazing didn't phase him. this is what frats are like, right? despite speaking korean at home with his parents his whole life he came to find out that his reading and writing wasn't stellar, and found himself struggling for the first time in his early years.

PERSONALITY. easy-going to a fault, he always has a joke for any situation. deals with everything with humor, even sometimes when he shouldn't. extroverted and welcoming. he always tries to make everyone around him feel included. huge flirt, to the point where it's hard to tell when to take him seriously or not.

first impressions from people who don't know him tend to be that he's an arrogant, cocky rich kid and his jokes can come across as picking on people. he's used to being called "that tall american douchebag", it comes with the agr territory. he's not actually mean spirited, though
